*Sarcasm Alert*
Oh My, I'm such a regular blogger. I'm so popular with all my fans. -_-
I joke, but seriously, I really need to keep you guys up to date, after all, you really want to know what I think of life. But that did get me thinking. In this blog I basically come up with long winded arguments and discussions letting you come to a conclusion. Then I look at my friends and its them talking about their day and stuff. I mean, am I missing something here. I like to be individual, but is it killing my writing enjoyment. After all that is why I started this, because I wanted to make writing fun. We'll see, maybe I'll actually mentions a friends name for once. I know the horror.
But, there are other things to worry about, like driving lessons
- [Random Voice] You're on driving lessons now?!
- Yes, I am.
- Hahahaha, can't wait to see you crash
- I'm not going to crash.
- Yeah right, hahaha.
Anyway, I'm learning to drive. However; despite the fact I'm born late in the school year, I'm still one of the first of my friends to learn. This surprised me. I suspected that by this point I would at least have one friend trying to or completed all of their tests. So for everyone to be at such an early stage was shocking. But can we make an example of this. As I've been forced to find out at my peril, lessons ARE expensive.
While it is true to say that the economic situations of this country are improving, it is also true to say that a point where people are at a stage where they have significant disposable income? This may come down do the income of the family or even their own financial security. After why would you fork out large amounts of money. Well then we talk about demand. How necessary is it that we drive. After all, increasing government spending would help the public spending. With more and cheaper buses and underground lines, will this mean that people travel more, or does it mean that they'll spend less for other things as well. This may decrease spending and slow the economy.
So yeah, I did it. I linked learning to drive with the Economy, success. But seriously, does this mean I can charge my friends for rides, like a taxi. Or will the responsibility backfire on me. For someone as socially awkward as me, it might help me get closer to my friends.
Only you should control your destiny

University Advertising - Reading
Welcome to your new life...
Well, for the next 12 months anyway. With A2 (unofficially) starting on Thursday. We were given a mandatory assembly that we have to attend. That seemed to carry on, spending the last hour, of 3, in a computer room looking at UCAS references and University options.
As for today, well we went to the local university and looked at different uni's that would offer us the courses we needed. I found myself either being to forceful or not being clear enough. Even though I was full with prospectuses and leaflets, I look back and think, I should have got more. Damn, I can never do anything right. -_-
- [Random Voice] You'll never get anything right
- To be honest, I do fear that might be the case with Uni courses
- Waste of money!
- Well not always, but I understand. But I digress
This is where the title "reading" comes from. I know I can't recommend any books, but I can recommend that people look into their. future. Although, I, especially am one that find myself too lazy to do most things, like exams, it is important to prepare. After all University is likely to be the largest step that you have made in your life. It should not be underwhelmed and even if I can't provide myself as an example student make sure you can. Because only you hold yourself back.
As for the actual reading part. Read the Prospectuses. After all there are 35000 courses available (in the UK) and there is always one for you. Even if it's something you hadn't thought of. Further education is a wide and fulfilling area. Maybe you can come up with some areas you are interested in and use UCAS, HelpYouChoose and other sites to see what is suitable. Because it is not often the course or the Uni that matter but the grade at the end. As a result, it is better to choose something you love.

Making an Effort - Reality
Hm, should I be productive today?...
As it turns out, I kind of need to be. I've got some serious deadlines. Remember, breath, relax, let the pressure drip off you. Until it forms of puddle of despair were dodged responsibility lies. -_-
Well, maybe that wasn't the best way to deal with it. I will admit I can work myself up sometimes. I do need to make sure I don't overreact. After all, an exam will be done well only if you have a clear mind. As much as I'd like to think I over prepare, most of the time I don't and regularly feel like I under prepare, as I'm sure many of you will agree with. But the same does apply to work. I feel I push to the limits, I'm not only a procrastinator (great name for a new superhero,) but also someone who loves to work under pressure and often late at night. This may lead to an awkward hiring process, where I do minimal work during the day and come in the next morning with a stack of paperwork.
- Is that really the best way to spend your life?
- Well, no. It isn't.
- You better change yourself then!
- Actually for once, random voice, I agree with you.
Sometimes it's good to change yourself. With my birthday coming up, maybe I should set this as a target for the year ahead. Maybe people will laugh at my lack of success or my over optimism. But this is something we all have to face. We like to think we can change. But many cannot make the effort. Maybe this is why we find it hard to change to a younger society. But is this stubbornness or experience in life.
You can always surprise people, but surprising yourself is harder.

Are May Exams Necessary? - Ranting
I'M BACK
- [Random Voice]...from the dead.
- Unfortunately I didn't die
- Aww, how disappointing
- Don't be mean. But yeah, I know, those exams were hell.
For any of you wondering about who I am, some might say look at my previous posts, however; they are terrible, like all my posts. So lets consider this a new start, hi, I'm a male sixth form student. Lets start a fresh.
Yes as you've all guessed, I had exams. Surprise, surprise. Today was my final one and this symbolises my day to wind down. Not for too long however; I do have lessons starting again next week. Ugh. -_- But we were told we wouldn't get any time off, so what do I expect.
Do I think we should have time off? Well yes, but I sympathise with the schools. They have one hand tied behind their back. They have a course to teach, and can only teach it in a particular period. If this is to change you'd have to change the whole system. For me (doing 1st year A Levels), the A2 course is much longer. Hence why we need the extra time. If this is to ever change we'd have to change the course. This would likely result in the extension of AS and shortening of A2, this would require much effort and is not a short term resolve.
To add. This would also result in the exams getting further into the year. Although done at the end in May and Early June. I would expect most of you to hate doing an exam in July as it would be at the hottest point of the year. With the humidity, it is likely to affect your ability to concentrate. This would be a major problem for people and would be a waste of a year of studying.
Some may ask why can't we keep the same length AS course and have the same length for A2 (September to May). This may be an idea however; we then learn less overall. The major concern being we are now further behind in our education, meaning we are less competitive compared to the world. This is obviously not good for our productive potential as a nation. The other problem with this idea is that you have a long holiday, this could result in the student being less adapted by the time school starts again. After all, how many of you have gone back after a holiday and felt tired and fed up by the second lesson.
So should we change the exam times - No, is my answer. As much as I don't like having a break after the exam. It is better for each student, as we will not get summer holidays while we are working in the real world.
So, sorry for this serious post, I'll do a few lighter ones as time goes on. But this is one for you to debate during this exam period. Hope you join me soon.
Shoot for the Moon, because if you miss you'll still be among the stars.
